Petroleum coke is widely used recarburizer currently.
Manufacture Method:
Petroleum coke is byproduct of refining crude oil, crude oil is often pressure distillation or vacuum distillation, residue and asphalt can be used as raw material for the manufacture of petroleum coke, coking after green petroleum coke. High impurity content in the raw petroleum coke, it can not be used as recarburizer directly, must go calcination firstly.
Type: Raw petroleum varieties of sponge, acicular, granular and fluid state.
Sponge petroleum coke is formed from delayed coking system, due to the higher content of sulfur and metals, it usually used as fuel during the calcination or raw material in the calcined petroleum coke. Calcined sponge coke mainly used for aluminum and as recarburizer.
2. Acicular petroleum coke is obtained from the delayed coking system, raw material is high content of aromatic hydrocarbons and low impurity content. This coke is easy to rupture acicular structure, sometimes called graphite coke, mainly used in manufacture graphite electrodes after calcined.
Particulate petroleum coke is granular state, obtained from the delayed coking system, raw material is sulfur and high content asphaltene. Mainly used as fuel.
Fluid state petroleum coke is obtained from the continuous coking system in fluidization, it is fine granular structure, non-directional, high sulfur content and low volatile.
Calcined: Calcine petroleum coke is in order to except the sulfur, moisture and volatile. Raw petroleum coke calcined at 1200~1350℃ can make it substantially pure carbon.
